Australia's barley exports are expected to decrease in May due to decreasing stocks in New South Wales and Victoria. In March, the country exported 838.79 thousand tonnes of barley, including 206.25 thousand tonnes of malting barley and 632.55 thousand tonnes of feed barley. China, Vietnam, and Peru were the main recipients of malting barley, while China, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam were the main buyers of feed barley. Despite the decrease, strong demand from China is expected to help Australia meet its export targets and bring ending stocks back to record lows.
