Despite some challenges with rain and heat in some regions, Australia's mango industry has managed to ship half a million trays to market, with production volumes on the rise. The Australian Mango Industry Association reports that 508,000 trays were produced, the highest figure this season, and volumes are expected to continue to increase, peaking at 812,000 trays in early December. However, some fruit has been downgraded due to recent rain. Katherine is seeing a doubling of volumes, and heat is expected to increase fruit volumes in Kununurra. In Queensland, growers are facing rain and humidity challenges, while Carnarvon has had a good flowering but weather conditions remain uncertain. Overall, this year's production is expected to remain above last season's, with a total shipment of at least 8.7 million trays to market by early March.
