Australia is among the top 30 importers of agricultural products globally, with over 50% of imports being grains, 29% fruits, and 18% vegetables. In 2019, the country imported over US $ 3,500 million in fruits, vegetables, and grains, a 44% increase from 2009. The top imports include coffee, quinoa, grapes, avocados, bilberries, garlic, and asparagus. Coffee is the most imported agricultural product, with Switzerland, Brazil, and Colombia as the main suppliers, paying US $ 4.19 per kilogram. Quinoa imports have also increased, mainly from Bolivia, paying US $ 2.67 per kilogram. There is potential for Peruvian products in the Australian market, especially grapes, avocados, and blueberries, given their high prices in Australia compared to other countries.
