Autumn campaign in Bulgaria: Nearly 39% growth in rapeseed planted areas

Sowing of autumn crops is underway, and according to the latest operational data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, at this stage, the areas sown with oilseed rape show a growth of 38.9% compared to the previous year. A slight decrease on an annual basis is observed in the areas with barley (by 3.8%), and a much more serious one in those with wheat (by 45.3%), rye (by 48.4%), and triticale (by 44.8%). Regarding the sales prices on a national average, as of October 8, 2025, a decrease in the purchase prices of sunflower, bread wheat, feed wheat, and barley within the range of 0.1% to 1.8% compared to the previous week is recorded, most notably for barley.
