The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) forecasts sustained growth in Brazil's chicken and pork meat exports in 2023 due to increased global demand caused by avian flu reducing supply and higher production costs in Europe from the Ukraine-Russia conflict. In 2022, Brazil hit record levels in chicken exports, with over 4.8 million tons and revenue of $9.76 billion, thanks to higher prices and health issues in competitors. Despite a slight decrease in December exports, revenue increased by 9.2%. The United Arab Emirates and the European Union were among the top importing countries.
