Ayacucho: They promote productive diversification with the delivery of tara seedlings

In a determined effort to strengthen local agriculture and generate new income opportunities in rural areas, the Provincial Municipality of Huanta, in the Ayacucho region, delivered 1500 tara seedlings to the inhabitants of the peasant community of Ccanis Baja. This initiative seeks to take advantage of the high commercial potential of tara in national and international markets, allowing beneficiary families to diversify their crops and ensure a sustainable source of sustenance in the medium term, under an environmentally caring approach. During the delivery ceremony, the municipal authority Belisario Lope Romaní reaffirmed his commitment to the productive development of the district, highlighting that these seedlings represent a “seed of progress” for the farmers in the area.
