Azerbaijan increased production of agricultural products by 5% in 8 months

The volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in January-August 2021 amounted to 6 billion 105.2 million manats, which is 5% more than in 8 months of 2020, the State Statistics Committee told Interfax-Azerbaijan. During the reporting period, the volume of production in animal husbandry amounted to 2 billion 894.4 million manats, crop production - 3 billion 210.8 million manats. At the same time, the growth in livestock production was 2.6%, crop production - 7.3%. For 8 months, the republic produced 353.9 thousand tons of meat (an increase of 3.2%), 1 million 433.8 thousand tons of milk (an increase of 1.6%), 1 billion 269.4 million eggs (a decrease by 4.1%), 15.5 thousand tons of wool (an increase of 0.1%), 491.3 tons of silkworms (an increase of 10%).
