Balance: surplus in the 2nd week of December is $1.478 billion, with $61.115 billion for the year

By Flávia Said Brasília, 15/12/2025 - The Brazilian trade balance registered a trade surplus of US$ 1,478 billion in the second week of December. According to data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC) released recently, the value was achieved with exports of US$ 6,938 billion and imports of US$ 5,460 billion. The accumulated surplus for December (considering the first two weeks of the month) is US$ 3,276 billion. For the year, from January to December 2025, the surplus totals US$ 61,115 billion, compared to US$ 74,176 billion in the same period of 2024. With less than three weeks left until the end of 2025, the year-to-date result is due to US$ 332,082 billion in exports and US$ 270,966 billion in imports.
