REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The government stated that Indonesia will not conduct strategic food imports throughout 2026. The strong remaining stock from 2025 (carry over stock) is deemed sufficient to support national consumption needs and maintain price stability. The National Food Agency assessed that the decision to avoid imports is supported by the carry over stock of staple foods, which is at a safe level until early 2026.
