Brazil has seen a significant increase in bean exports, with a 113% rise to 176,000 tons at the Paranaguá Container Terminal (TCP) between October 2023 and September 2024, accounting for 81% of the country's total bean exports. French-eyed peas are the most exported variety, primarily to India, with Guatemala, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic also importing significantly. TCP's efficiency and agility are crucial for the perishable bean market. Additionally, sesame exports from Paraná, a key hub for pulse exports, experienced a 5% increase between January and September 2024, with China's recent opening to Brazilian sesame expected to further boost exports.
