U.S. beef and pork exports in June reached the highest value in nearly two years and first half of the year respectively, with beef exports to Japan seeing an 8% increase from last year despite economic challenges. Pork exports to Mexico experienced a slight decrease but export value increased by 4%, and demand in Korea remained strong with a 20% increase in exports. Meanwhile, Central American markets showed significant growth in import value of U.S. pork. Lamb exports also saw a rise in both volume and value for the first half of 2024.
