Before the New Year, pig carcasses in Ukraine rose in price to UAH 70.15/kg

In the last week of 2022, purchase prices for slaughter pigs continued to rise. The average selling price stood at UAH 70.15/kg, which is 2.2% higher than a week earlier. This was reported in the "Swine Farmers of Ukraine" association. A number of operators entered the market with smaller supply volumes. Against the background of this and more lively procurement activity, prices for pig carcasses increased by UAH 0.5-2.5/kg, as compared to the previous week. In all regions, the prices agreed, because most of the product lots were sold in the range of UAH 69-71/kg.
