This negatively impacted the yield and reduced the supply of berries. In the logistics sector, the dependency on rented carriers became a problem, delaying the supply of products. There was also a shortage of cold storage facilities: during peak harvest periods, some farms received refusals for accepting berries. The limited infrastructure increased the level of losses and put pressure on prices. Producers are trying to reduce cooling costs by installing solar panels.
