Bingöl honey, renowned for its quality and unique taste, has gained geographical indication registration from the European Union, boosting its demand both locally and internationally. This year, 1,800 tons were harvested by 1,300 beekeepers, adding around 300 million liras to Bingöl's economy. The honey is now exported to nine countries and will be sold in 1,700 markets in France. The recognition has significantly increased exports, and producers plan to expand these figures in the future.
