In 2022, Morocco emerged as a leading exporter of blueberries, ranking fourth globally with an export volume of 53,000 tons. The majority of these exports were directed to Spain, although Spanish demand for Moroccan blueberries saw a decrease of 36% between 2017 and 2022. Other European countries like the UK and Norway, as well as the Middle East and Southeast Asia, also imported Moroccan blueberry productions. The conflict in Ukraine, however, led to a significant reduction in Moroccan blueberry exports to Russia.
