The growing volume of Brazilian pork exported to Chile is noteworthy, according to researchers at Cepea. According to data from Secex analyzed by the Research Center, the amount exported increased from 7.7 thousand tons in January of this year to 13.3 thousand tons in August. The highlight was in July, when 14.5 thousand tons of pork were exported to that South American country, that is, double the volume of January. With this, the researchers emphasize that Chile was, in July and August, the second largest destination for Brazilian pork, taking the position that had been previously held by China.
