Brazil conquers new market in Colombia for export of dried distillery grains

The Brazilian government celebrated the recent authorization by the Colombian government for the export of dried distillers grains (DDG/DDGS) to the South American country. This advance represents the 105th market opening for Brazilian agribusiness in 2024 and brings the total to 183 openings in 58 destinations since the beginning of 2023. Dried distillers grains, a byproduct of ethanol production from corn, are an important source of protein and energy for feeding ruminants, pigs, poultry, fish and shrimp.
