Brazil exports 111.8 thousand tons of rice in November

(By Abiarroz) Brazil exported 111.8 thousand tons of rice (husk base) in November, with revenue of US$ 51.3 million. The report is released monthly by the Brazilian Rice Industry Association (Abiarroz), based on data from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC). The volume exported last month fell 20% compared to the same period in 2023, when shipments totaled 139.8 thousand tons. There was also a 9% drop in revenue. Regarding imports, Brazil purchased 75.7 thousand tons of rice (husk base) last month, with a disbursement of US$ 34.9 million. There was a 22% drop in imports compared to the amount purchased in the same month in 2023. Compared to October 2024, the reduction in volume was 38%.
