Brazil: Philippines is the main buyer of pork from Santa Catarina

Santa Catarina was responsible for 55.3% of the quantity and 57% of the revenues from Brazilian pork exports in the first nine months of this year. The state exported 61.4 thousand tons of pork (fresh, processed and offal) in September, which represents a reduction of 0.7% compared to exports in the previous month, but an increase of 10.1% compared to September 2023. Revenues in September were US$ 150.4 million, an increase of 0.1% compared to the previous month and 18% compared to September 2023. Most of the main destinations recorded an increase in exports this year compared to the same period in 2023, with emphasis on the Philippines (increase of 52.1% in quantity and 38.9% in revenues), Japan (125.2% and 120.2%) and Mexico (83.1% and 70.2%).
