Breeding achievement of animal husbandry, horses of the new Ukrainian trotting breed

The expert commission of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy conducted an approbation and approved a new breeding achievement in livestock breeding - the Ukrainian trotting breed of horses. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. Work on the creation of the Ukrainian trotting breed was carried out for 30 years. The Ukrainian trotting breed was created on the basis of a population of trotting horses of domestic selection by the method of targeted selection for liveliness, distance, exterior indicators and the use of introductory corrective crossing with American standardbred and French trotting breeds. This breed differs from other trotting breeds by a complex of features and has differences according to geographical affiliation, breeding methods and genetic markers.
