The European Commission has revised the restricted areas for African swine fever (ASF) due to new outbreaks in Italy, Greece, and Poland, while noting improvements in parts of Germany. The updated restrictions, published in the Official Journal of the European Union, do not impact any region of Spain. Increased restrictions have been applied to Eastern Macedonia-Thrace in Greece, Lombardy and Piedmont in Italy, and Pomorskie and Zachodniopomorskie in Poland. Conversely, restrictions have been eased in parts of Saxony, Germany, due to the absence of recent ASF outbreaks.
