Russia's buckwheat exports are projected to rise from 200 thousand tons to 300 thousand tons by the end of the year, according to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev. This is due to the country's increased production, which is expected to remain steady at about 1.5 million tons. The demand for Russian buckwheat is high in countries such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and China. In addition to buckwheat, Russia has also seen a significant increase in soybean production, which last year reached seven million tons, with 1.5 million tons of this being exported. The country aims to reduce the export of unprocessed soybeans to increase the supply of value-added products like soybean oil.
