In 2024, farms in the EU produced approximately 161.8 million tons of raw milk. This is an increase of 0.9 million tons compared to 2023 and 12.1 million tons compared to 2014, when production was 149.7 million tons. This is evident from the data on milk and dairy products published by Eurostat. Out of 150.8 million tons of milk received by dairies, 146.5 million tons were cow's milk, with the remainder being sheep's milk, goat's milk, or buffalo's milk.
