Bursa chestnut candy received a geographical indication registration from the EU

Bursa Chestnut Sugar has received a geographical indication registration from the European Union (EU) through the initiatives of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO). BTSO Board Chairman İbrahim Burkay stated, "The fact that the name of our Bursa Chestnut Sugar is carried to the world will provide significant contributions to our producers, trade, and exports. May it be auspicious for our city and our country." BTSO continues its geographical indication registration efforts to brand Bursa's traditional flavors on an international scale. Leading the registration process for seven different products domestically to date, BTSO has also made significant progress in obtaining geographical indication registration from the EU.
