Butter's rating makes a big jump in the Netherlands

The plus for butter on the Global Dairy Trade is somewhat limited. This is an increase of 0.1 percent. For whole milk powder, a minus of 1.8 percent was recorded in New Zealand, while skimmed milk powder actually increased by 1.3 percent. Looking at the complete market picture, the Global Dairy Trade price index was half a percent higher than in the previous edition two weeks ago. This brings the price index to 1,112. Since mid-August, when the index was 850, it has been rising steadily. Short term Dutch dairy quotations are currently also at a higher level than in August 2023. However, things have been a bit difficult in the Netherlands in recent months. Last week, butter already made a significant jump, which is now continuing.
