Café Pichanaquino stands out at Expoamazónica 2025

The story of Yury Chipana Mitma is a testament to effort and perseverance. A native of the district of Tumayhuaraca (Apurímac), he migrated with his family to Pichanaqui (Junín), escaping the violence of the hardest years of terrorism. Today, with the support of the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida), through the activity of "Associativity," he has turned his passion for coffee into a life project that transcends borders. In his farm "Alegría," located in the central populated area of Los Ángeles de Ubiriki, he cultivates three hectares of coffee of the varieties Typica, Caturra, Catuay, and Geisha, with which he has achieved 89.2 points in the cup, a score that places him among the high-quality coffees at the international level.
