Egypt: 2,300 reports issued to subsidized and tourist bakeries

The Supply and Internal Trade Directorate in Cairo Governorate announced that several supply control campaigns were launched over the past few days on subsidized and tourist bakeries, during which 2,300 reports were issued. The directorate explained in a statement today that the reports included the production of bread that was underweight, did not conform to specifications, and stopped production without permission, in addition to violations of not having records, some of which included selling bread at a price higher than the official price and not having a sensitive scale, as well as managing and operating a bakery without a license.
