Cambodia's rice exports valued at $340 million in first nine months of this year

Data shows that this year, Cambodia exported rice to 65 countries and regions through 54 rice exporters, including 229,000 tons to 26 European countries with an export value of US$190 million; 81,000 tons to China (including Hong Kong and Macao) with an export value of US$52.63 million; 86,000 tons to ASEAN countries and East Timor with an export value of US$52.23 million; and 50,000 tons to 29 countries including Africa, the Middle East, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand with an export value of US$43.87 million. Among the many export varieties, fragrant rice accounts for the highest proportion, reaching 72%; ordinary rice accounts for 22.5%; steamed rice accounts for 3.3%; organic rice accounts for 1.8%; and other varieties account for 0.3%.
