Despite its Anglo-Saxon origin, Halloween has already established itself in Spain with its traditional "trick or treat" that fills stores with cookies, sugar bones, and candies with high demand and which accounts for up to 10% of annual revenue for some companies in the confectionery industry. Candy dressed with eyes, mouths, and even mysterious outfits fill the shelves of supermarkets and artisan bakeries during these weeks, which cover themselves in the characteristic orange and black of Halloween to encourage consumers to celebrate it. But there is also room for Spanish tradition; in the case of artisans, the association of artisan pastry in the Community of Madrid, Asempas, has planned the sale of 550,000 kilos of typical sweets for this date.
