Carrot prices continue to rise in Ukraine

Carrot prices in Ukraine, which began to rise in early December, continue to rise this week, according to analysts from the EastFruit project. At the same time, the pace of trade in this segment has also continued to grow in the last two weeks. According to the project's daily monitoring, carrots in Ukraine have risen in price by an average of 11% since the end of last week alone, and today producers are ready to ship this product at a price of 20-28 UAH/kg ($0.48-0.67/kg), depending on the quality, region, and other terms of the transaction. According to key market players, the price increase is due to a noticeable increase in trading activity in the segment of these root crops. At the same time, most farms have suspended sales of high-quality carrots in anticipation of even greater price increases and have stored the bulk of the harvest.
