Togo's cashew industry, which includes around 50,000 stakeholders and 31,500 farmers, generates approximately CFA20 billion ($36 million) annually from the export of cashew and its derivatives, according to the national council for the sector, CIFAT. The country saw a significant increase in cashew production in 2020, producing nearly 40,000 tonnes, up from 23,000 tonnes in 2019.
