Vietnam's cashew nut exports have seen a significant increase in the first 8 months of 2024, reaching 486,470 tons and earning 2.78 billion USD. The US is the largest market, accounting for nearly 28% of the total volume and turnover. However, the industry faces a high risk of trade deficit due to the rising costs of raw materials. To mitigate this, the Vietnam Cashew Association recommends focusing on the production of deeply processed, high-quality cashew products to reach more demanding customers and command better prices.
