In February 2022, Egypt experienced a slight increase in its agricultural imports, with cashew imports rising from $2.687 million in February 2021 to $4.804 million in the same month in 2022, a increase of $2.117 million. Overall agricultural imports grew to $395.935 million from $334.738 million in the previous year, a rise of $61.297 million. Within these imports, corn for the fodder industry increased to $252.956 million from $251.686 million, while wheat imports decreased to $175.931 million from $340.814 million. Overall imports for the country increased by 1.2%, reaching $6.82 billion compared to $6.74 billion in February 2021.
