In the 45th week of 2024, cattle prices in Poland saw bulls reaching a peak of PLN 21.30/kg for class R and PLN 21/kg for class O, with live weight prices at PLN 12.50/kg. Heifers were slightly cheaper, with class R at PLN 21.00/kg and class O at PLN 20.50/kg, and live weight prices up to PLN 11.10/kg. Cow prices remained stable, with post-slaughter prices up to PLN 18.50/kg and live weight at PLN 8.00/kg. Overall, Polish cattle prices are about 5% lower than the European average, with the highest prices in the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany, and the lowest in Hungary, Latvia, and Lithuania.
