Cattle purchase prices maintain an upward trend in Poland

In the 45th week of 2024, in the surveyed establishments, the purchase prices of bulls in class R amounted to a maximum of PLN 21.30/kg (an average of PLN 20.88/kg), while in class O the upper rate is PLN 21/kg (an average of PLN 20.37/kg). Bulls purchased for live weight reach a maximum price of PLN 12.50/kg (an average of PLN 12.13). Heifer prices below bull prices The prices offered for heifers in the post-slaughter settlement in class R are currently at PLN 21.00/kg (an average of PLN 20.47/kg), and in class O PLN 20.50/kg (an average of PLN 19.55/kg). Producers can currently receive up to PLN 11.10/kg for heifers sold live weight (PLN 10.65/kg on average).
