Peru has made its first export from the new Chancay Megaport to Shanghai using Qali, a company under Agrícola Cerro Prieto, which shipped blueberries. The cargo value exceeded the cost of a car imported from China, highlighting the quality of Peruvian blueberries. With a projected total volume of 292,138 tons for the 2024-2025 campaign, Peru remains the leading blueberry exporter for the fifth consecutive year, generating employment and boosting competitiveness for small and medium-sized companies.
