In Nepal, the price of chicken meat has dropped significantly by Rs 80 per kg, from Rs 420 in June to Rs 340 in July, due to a decrease in meat consumption. Jung Bahadur Belbase, president of the National Poultry Traders Association, noted that the price of live chicken also fell by Rs 10, now at Rs 250 per kg. Currently, only 50 to 60 percent of chicken production is being consumed.
