Chile and Ecuador sign agreement to facilitate the exchange of fresh fruit

In order to facilitate logistics and reduce the time that shipments spend in ports, as well as the costs associated with these processes, the Agricultural and Livestock Service of Chile (SAG) and the Phytosanitary and Zoosanitary Regulation and Control Agency of Ecuador (Agrocalidad), signed an addendum to the current agreement to facilitate bilateral fruit trade between both countries. Frutas de Chile reported that the signature was signed by the national director of SAG, José Guajardo, and the executive director of Agrocalidad, Patricio Almeida. The ceremony was also attended by the Ambassador of Ecuador in Chile, Lotty Farah Andrade, the general manager of Frutas de Chile, Miguel Canala-Echeverría, and professionals from SAG, Agrocalidad, the Embassy of Ecuador in Chile and IICA.
