Chile participated in the 23rd meeting of the APEC Fisheries and Oceans Group

At the event, various advances in small-scale fishing and aquaculture were highlighted, as well as the participatory work that is being developed with a view to preparing the draft Aquaculture Law. Between August 13 and 15, the 23rd meeting of the Oceans and Fisheries Working Group (OFWG) of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) was held in Trujillo, Peru. At this meeting, various advances in small-scale fishing and aquaculture were highlighted from Chile, as well as the participatory work that is being developed with a view to preparing the draft of a new Aquaculture Law. Additionally, at this meeting, the three roadmaps that are being worked on were reported on: Illegal, Unreported, Unregulated Fishing (INDR), marine waste, and small-scale fishing and aquaculture.
