Chilean dried plum exports reach US$ 183 million by September

Shipments were made to 76 countries, with China becoming increasingly important compared to last year and in relation to other countries, both in volume and amounts. In the first nine months of 2024, exports of Chilean dehydrated plums, a superfood that reaches 76 countries, totaled 64,887 metric tons (MT), equivalent to US$ 183 million. Chile, the main exporter of dehydrated plums in the world, has China, Poland, Mexico, the United States and the United Kingdom among its five main markets in terms of volume, but if returns are considered, the United States appears second, while Germany and Spain surpass the United Kingdom.
