Turkey's dairy industry has seen a significant increase in exports to China, reaching $ 9.3 million in the first two months of 2021. This follows the industry obtaining an export visa to China in 2020. The exports were initiated in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Whey was the top product in exports to China. The industry aims to double these numbers in the long term. In 2020, Turkey's dairy product exports amounted to $ 301 million, with China ranking 7th with exports of $ 14.5 million. There has been a 26% increase in Turkey's dairy product exports in the January-February period of 2021, with China becoming the new leader with an export amount of $ 9.3 million.
