China dominates global production of technical glyphosate

China concentrates more than 60% of the global supply of technical glyphosate (TC), according to Rafael Gomes, Coordinator of Agricultural Inputs – Supply Partnerships and Portfolio Management of Agrochemicals. Among more than 30 companies with active registration, seven stand out by dominating over 65% of the national production capacity. The ranking of leading producers includes Hubei Xingfa Chemicals Group Co., Ltd., with 230 thousand tons/year via the IDA route; Sichuan Fuhua Tongda Agro-Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., with 153 thousand tons/year using the Glycine route; and Zhejiang Xinan Chemical Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (Wynca), with 80 thousand tons/year via the IDA route. Other prominent companies are Jiangshan Agrochemical & Chemicals Co., Ltd., Sichuan Hebang Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Anhui Guangxin Agrochemical Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Co., Ltd.
