China has suspended imports of beef, dairy products, and beer from Lithuania, following a previous exclusion of Lithuania from China's electronic customs declaration system. This has led to problems with cargo declaration, for which Lithuania has complained to the European Union, supported by Brussels. The EU has initiated proceedings against China in the World Trade Organization for discriminatory trade practices. Lithuanian companies are experiencing difficulties, with approximately 1,200 containers, worth around € 240 million, not reaching Lithuania and potential losses of around € 300 million in 2022.
