In August, China experienced a 24.6% increase in beer imports from Russia, amounting to $1.59 million, up from $1.276 million in the same month last year. Despite this, overall Russian beer exports to China have decreased by 21.6% over the past eight months. The State Customs Administration of the PRC reported that in the first eight months of this year, China imported beer from 64 countries, with the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and Spain being the largest suppliers. The Agroexport center under the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has identified China as a promising market for Russian beer, predicting that exports could reach 46.8 thousand tons for $31.7 million in 2026, up from 31.2 thousand tons for $15.8 million in 2023. The Main Customs Service of China has also reported an increase in beer exports from China to Russia.
