China has initiated an anti-subsidy investigation into dairy imports from the European Union, following a complaint from its local dairy industry and in response to the EU's revised tariff plan for Chinese electric vehicles. The probe will look into 20 subsidy schemes from EU countries, primarily focusing on various dairy products such as cheeses, milks, and creams. This action is part of a series of investigations by China into EU agricultural goods and comes after the EU applied punitive duties on Chinese electric vehicles. The European Commission and the European Dairy Association have pledged to defend the EU's interests and ensure compliance with World Trade Organization rules.
