Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports have seen a significant increase of 33% in the first eight months of the year, reaching nearly 5 billion USD, as per the General Department of Customs. China remains the largest market, accounting for over 65% of the market share with expenditure of nearly 3.1 billion USD. Other markets like the US, South Korea, Thailand, and Japan have also increased their imports, with growth ranging from 35-90%. The demand for durian from China has been a major contributor to this growth. The country aims to reach 7 billion USD in fruit and vegetable exports for the year, driven by strong demand during the year-end holidays.
