The Inputs Bulletin from the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA) for November brought changes in the profile of fertilizer suppliers to Brazil. According to the publication, China surpassed Russia and became the largest exporter of these inputs to the Brazilian market, with 9.76 million tons. The analysis considers the period from January to October 2025. The bulletin, however, states that Russia remains a strategic supplier of fertilizers. In the first eight months of the year, the Russians shipped 9.72 million tons – a difference of about 400 thousand tons compared to Chinese sales. During this period, the main fertilizers purchased by Brazil were Ammonium Sulfate (SAM) and NP (Nitrogen and Phosphorus) formulations. On the one hand, the Chinese sold more fertilizers to Brazil, but on the other, the rapid increase in trade resulted in long queues at the Port of Paranaguá in Paraná.
