South Korea: Chunhyanggol Paprika Approval of Vietnam Export Quarantine Complex and China Selection Center

[Namwon = Newspim] Reporter Baeksoo Lee = The city of Namwon, North Jeolla Province, announced on the 15th that Unbong highland paprika has been approved by the National Agriculture, Forestry and Livestock Quarantine Headquarters for Vietnam's export quarantine complex and China's export quarantine screening center. In the highlands of Unbong at the foot of Mt. Jirisan, 38 farmers cultivate and produce 3,000 tons of paprika per year from June to December, and supply 2,000 tons to large distribution stores in Korea through joint selection at the Unbong Agricultural Products Distribution Center. It is exporting about 1,000 tons worth 3.5 billion won to overseas countries such as Japan. As it is approved as an export quarantine complex in Vietnam and an export quarantine site in China, the export of paprika is expected to become more active.
