With corn prices falling in the first quarter, many producers prioritized crops less susceptible to losses, making room for grain millet. The water requirement of around 300 mm per cycle has ensured stability even in the face of rainfall failures observed in Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, and western Bahia.
