Between January and October 2024, São Paulo's agricultural exports experienced a notable 11.2% growth, reaching a total of US$25.77 billion and resulting in a trade surplus of over US$21 billion. This growth was led by a significant 41.4% increase in coffee exports, which surpassed US$1 billion in revenue. Other products such as juices, the sugar and alcohol complex, and forestry products also saw substantial growth. However, the soy complex experienced a 35% drop due to global market fluctuations. The growing demand for coffee, especially specialty coffees, in China has presented new opportunities for producers and companies in São Paulo. The Port of São Sebastião has resumed operations and is set to receive a sustainable shipment of 600 tons of coffee to France, marking a milestone in sustainable coffee transportation.
