Coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands provinces have increased by 600 VND/kg, with the highest price in Dak Lak. On the world market, robusta coffee for May 2023 in London saw a 2.06% increase, reaching 2,130 USD/ton, while arabica coffee for the same period on the New York Stock Exchange rose by 1.01% to 180.3 US cents/lb. This increase in prices comes after the global market recovered from a potential crisis and ahead of the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting. However, the increase in robusta prices is being countered by increased stocks at the Ice Warehouse, and the recovery of arabica coffee prices is slow due to anticipated shortages. In Brazil, flooding has ended, allowing farmers to cultivate a new coffee crop, and the country's coffee exports in 2022 saw a decrease in volume but an increase in turnover compared to 2021.
